Ukraine updates: Sumy hospital hit by deadly double attack

Ukrainian regional authorities say two strikes on a medical center in Sumy near the border with Russia killed several people. Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy said Trump promised to support Ukraine. DW has the latest.

Ukraine said Russian forces attacked a medical center in Sumy twice early on Saturday, killing at least eight people.

Sumy lies close to the Russian border. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia used Iranian-supplied "Shahed" drones in the attack.  

In other news, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had "direct information" from US presidential candidate Donald Trump that he would support Ukraine against Russia if he returned to the White House.
