Her attacker is said to have left the scene after being disturbed by a barking dog. Nottinghamshire Police said the attack, which is being treated as a sexual assault, took place at around 11pm on Saturday (October 26).

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. They also want to speak to anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area on Saturday night.

Detective Sergeant Helen Sanders said: “We are treating what happened as a sexual assault and have been working to identify the person involved. This incident took place in the dark and in a secluded location. For that reason we are keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time.

“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area – and particularly from any driver with dashcam footage recorded in the area at the time.

“Even something seemingly innocuous could make all the difference in this case so I urge people to take a moment to think about what they saw or heard in the area at around the time of this incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 24000645868.
