Armed officers involved as police issue update after gunshots heard in St Ann's street

Police have issued an update after gunshots were reportedly fired on a Nottingham street. Officers were called to Blundell Close, St Ann’s, at 12.25am on Thursday, September 19 and later arrested three men on suspicion of affray.

Nottinghamshire Police has now shared that two more people were detained on Wednesday, September 25, with one suspect being arrested by armed officers in Radford. The force said a 20-year-old man was being held on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

A 21-year-old man is being held on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and assault, police added. The other arrested suspects remain on police bail as investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant Alana Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been working hard to understand what happened during this incident and to identify all the people involved. I am pleased we have now been able to arrest two further suspects and our investigation will now continue.”
