'Brutal': New details emerge after body of woman found in Halifax Walmart

Police were still unable to confirm the woman's cause of death, although they did reveal where the woman was found: in a walk-in oven

Police investigating the death of a female Walmart employee in Halifax over the weekend revealed Tuesday that the 19-year-old was found inside a walk-in oven in the store’s bakery.

Still, a press release from Halifax Regional Police (HRP) noted “that the investigation has not yet reached a point where the cause and manner of death have been confirmed.”

The victim has since been identified as Gursimran Kaur as per a GoFundMe page set up by the Maritime Sikh Society (MSS) executive on Wednesday.
