Terrorist associate held along with pistol in north Kashmir's Handwara, say police - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 5: Security forces Tuesday claimed to have arrested a terrorist associate in north Kashmir’s Handwara along with arms and ammunition.

Quoting a police spokesperson, news agency KNO reported that during a cordon and search operation in Bongam Chogul area of Handwara, security forces apprehended a terrorist associate namely Ashiq Hussain Wani of Sopore.

A pistol along with a magazine and seven live rounds were also recovered from his possession, said the spokesperson.

“A case FIR No. 200/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in police station Handwara and investigation is underway,” he said.
