Major road accident in Bhubaneswar, Damana traffic post uprooted

Bhubaneswar: In a major road accident, a car rammed into  the traffic post at the Damana square under Chandrasekharpur police station here uprooting the traffic post from its place late on Monday night.

According to the sources, a white colour Baleno car coming from Gadhakana rammed into the traffic post at a very high speed uprooting it such that the post fell at a distance of 20 feet away from its place. The car then hit a solar signal post at the square and came to a halt.

According to locals, three people, two men and one woman, were present in the car including the driver. The driver had consumed alcohol and due to the intoxication got stuck inside the car but the woman and another one fled the spot who were later caught by the locals.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested the three of them.
