Youth beaten up, critically injured in front of Sahidnagar police station in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic piece of news in Bhubaneswar, a youths was allegedly beaten up and critically injured in front to Sahidnagar Police station said reports on Tuesday. It has been alleged that the attackers introduced themselves as the IIC and called the youth to the police station. After reaching the police station, the youth was thrashed and attacked.

Such an incident took place in front of Shahidnagar police station in Bhubaneswar. The police have arrested three people including Itish Pradhan. The other two have been identified as Biplab Parida and Arpan Mishra. On the basis of the complaint of the complainant Saroj Kumar Mishra, the case was initiated and the three accused were arrested and prosecuted.

According to the information, the three accused and their accomplices together called Saroj Mishra late at night saying that they are the police officers of Shahidnagar police station and that a case has been registered in his name and asked him to come and visit the police station immediately. Later, after reaching in front of the police station, the accused surrounded him and assaulted him with stones and broken glass bottles.

However five days before the incident, the accused asked the complainant Saroj Mishra for extortion money. When he refused to pay, he was attacked. The police have arrested three people after the complaint. According to the information of the police, there were five criminal cases in the name of the accused Biplab Parida in different police stations, while there were also five criminal cases in the name of the accused Itish Pradhan.
