A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife with the help of two of his girlfriends in Odisha's Bhubaneswar after she came to know of his extramarital affairs. The two women who helped the accused, Pradyumna Kumar Das, have also been arrested.

The victim, identified as Subhashree, died on October 28. The matter came to light when Das took his wife to a Bhubaneswar hospital, claiming that she had attempted suicide. However, upon arrival, doctors declared her dead. Das also reported his wife's alleged suicide attempt to the police the same day. The police registered a case of unnatural death and sent her body for post-mortem.

The post-mortem report revealed shocking details, showing bruises on her hands and neck. The report confirmed that she had died due to an overdose of anaesthesia.

Based on the post-mortem findings, the police questioned Das, who eventually confessed to the crime. He admitted to being involved with two other women and, with their help, plotted to kill his wife.

As per the investigation, Das had extramarital affairs with two women. When his wife learnt of his affair, it led to frequent arguments between the couple. For the last eight months, Subhashree had been living at her parents' house.

On October 28, Das managed to convince Subhashree to meet him at the house of one of his girlfriends. Das procured an anaesthesia injection from his partners, who worked at a pharmacy.

When Subhashree came to Rosy's house, they forcibly administered two anaesthesia injections to her, leading to her death.
