Chopped body parts of a 50-year-old woman, who went missing two days ago, were found in plastic bags in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. The victim, a beautician, was killed by a man known to her and her body parts were found chopped into six pieces and buried near the accused's house, police said.

On October 28, the victim, Anita Chaudhary, went missing after she closed her beauty parlour in the afternoon and did not return at night. The next day, her husband, Manmohan Chaudhary, filed a missing complaint at the police station in Jodhpur.

During preliminary investigation, it came to light that one Ghulamuddin alias Gul Mohammad, the accused, had a shop in the same building where Anita's beauty parlour was located. Both of them got acquainted. Police came to know about Gul Mohammad according to call details on the victim's phone.

Sardarpura police station officer Dilip Singh Rathore said Anita had left the place in an auto, before she went missing. Police questioned the auto driver who ferried Anita and said he took her to Gangana, where the accused stays.

When the police reached Gangana, they managed to find the home of Gul Mohammad there. His wife was found and she told the police that she had been at her sister's home for the past three days.

"When she returned to her home, her husband told her that Anita had been killed and her body was buried behind the house. Police got a bulldozer and dug up a 12-foot pit during which the torso, hands and legs of the woman's body were found wrapped separately in two plastic bags," Rathore said.

Anita's son alleged that the accused killed her mother after he deceived her. The victim's body was sent to AIIMS for a post-mortem examination.

Police were conducting raids in different parts of Jodhpur to catch the accused.
