Any pacification measures must lead to ceasefire across entire Middle East: Egyptian high-profile source

CAIRO – 22 October 2024: A high-profile source told Al Qahera news Tuesday that Egypt insisted that any pacification measures would lead to a ceasefire in the entire Middle East.

The source equally reiterated the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza Strip, and the entry of humanitarian aid.

Local health authorities confirmed on Saturday that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7, 2023 had risen to 42,519 reported fatalities, with an additional 99,637 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

 

According to the same sources, emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble of ruined buildings or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of paramedics and civil defense crews.
