Seized vehicles gutted in fire
by Staff Reporter · The PioneerSudden fire engulfed the seized vehicles parked in front of Talaiya police station in the state capital on Saturday, two auto-rickshaws and a car were burnt to ashes due to the fire.
The reason for the fire is being said to be the negligence of the municipal corporation's sanitation workers. However, even after the incident, the police have not registered an FIR against anyone.
Station in-charge CB Rathore said that on Saturday afternoon, smoke was suddenly seen rising from the confiscated vehicles parked in front of the police station. Within a short time, flames of fire started rising. The policemen and local residents present on the spot immediately started trying to control the fire. After about 15 minutes of hard work, the fire was brought under control.
According to station in-charge CB Rathore, the municipal corporation's sanitation workers had set fire to the garbage accumulated near the confiscated vehicles. Due to this, a car and two autos also caught fire. All three vehicles were very old as well as confiscated.
