Motorcyclist killed in Macleod Trail collision

Calgary police are investigating a collision between a car and motorcycle on Macleod Trail Wednesday evening that left a motorcyclist dead.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., police say a 28-year-old man operating a 2024 BMW S 100 RR motorcycle was headed south on Macleod Tr. nearing 99 Ave.

It was then that a 2013 Hyundai Accent travelling northbound and driven by a man in his 80s was turning west at 99 Ave., waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before proceeding.
