Lorraine Kelly takes on new BBC presenting role and says 'chance to be unleashed'

The Scottish star will be stepping away from her morning slot to take the reins of the long-standing satirical comedy and news series, Have I Got News For You.
The show's bosses have announced that Lorraine will guest host an episode next month, marking her first return to the set since 2005. Joining her as captains will be Maisie Adam and BBC Radio 5 Live presenter and journalist Matt Chorley.
Speaking about her return to the show, the 64-year-old expressed her excitement: "I'm really looking forward to hosting Have I Got News For You again, for the second time. The first time I did it was nearly 20 years ago back in 2005, when Paul and Ian were young whippersnappers!

"It's a chance for me to be unleashed... I can't wait!" Lorraine's episode of Have I Got News For You's impressive 68th series will air on Friday 22nd November, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Lorraine has presented various television shows for ITV and STV, including Good Morning Britain, GMTV, This Morning, Daybreak and her eponymous programme Lorraine since 2010. Earlier this year, the star was taken aback when she received a special Bafta TV award in recognition of her four-decade-long broadcasting career, her life-changing campaigns, and charity work.
Recently becoming a grandmother, Lorraine was overjoyed to announce that her daughter Rosie had given birth to her first child. Rosie and her fiance Steve shared their daughter, Billie Kelly Smith-White, was born on August 29th.
