Lauryn Goodman shares son's heartbreaking revelation over Kyle Walker

Lauryn Goodman has made a 'sad' revelation about who her son, Kairo, considers his family. The four-year-old's father, footballer Kyle Walker, 34, maintains a limited relationship with his son, which leads to poignant scenes this summer when Kairo is eager to see his dad on the pitch at the Euros.

Lauryn, 33, has been vocal about her wish for Kyle to have a closer relationship with their son and her one year old daughter, Kinara. However, she now reveals that Kairo only recognises two people as his family - Lauryn and his baby sister.

Speaking candidly on the Yours Sincerely podcast with friend Lisa Andrews, Lauryn shared a drawing by Kairo where 'Daddy' was almost off the page and noticeably missing from 'Nana', 'Mummy' and baby 'Kiki'.

She explained that a play therapist had told her: "She said that it's really interesting that he's drawn his dad, who couldn't be any further away from us. Subconsciously that's how he views him. He's there but not there. It makes me so sad...it's sad but true."

Revealing who Kairo sees as his family, the Celebs Go Dating star said her son told her: "It's me, Kiki and him. That's what he classifies as his family."

Lauryn has been at the centre of controversy since welcoming her first child with Kyle in April 2020, reports the Mirror. The footballer, who had been with Annie since 2010, faced criticism for his infidelity, which was repeated when he fathered Lauryn's daughter, Kinara.

Reports suggested that Annie had forbidden Kyle from seeing his children with Lauryn, but a representative for the mother-of-four told the Mirror: "The idea that Annie has banned Kyle from seeing Lauryn's children is simply untrue. The way Lauryn has behaved towards Annie and her children has made it impossible for Kyle to forge an emotional relationship with them without protecting the privacy of his own family. Kyle provides for Lauryn's children financially and will continue to do so."

"They don't enjoy the spectacle involving children and are frustrated that Lauryn continues to play it out so publically without thought for the feelings of all the young ones involved."

Despite standing by her man for several months after the scandal broke, Annie finally decided to end things last month when she announced she was filing for divorce from the Man City star following his betrayal.
