Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy's revelations including 'betrayal' and tragic marriage note

by · Birmingham Live

In their two-year relationship, Liam Payne and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared many joyful moments together. Their trip to Argentina was supposed to be another memorable adventure.

Tragically, the journey took a devastating turn when Liam fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, dying instantly from "very serious injuries incompatible with life". The sudden death of the 31-year-old has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans, many of whom have followed Liam's life and career since his early days as a teenage X Factor hopeful.

Many have also extended their sympathies to Kate, 25, who Liam deeply loved. Defending his girlfriend against trolls accusing her of being with him for his wealth, Liam once stated: "I've never felt a love like I do for Katelyn."

Marriage note

According to Kate, Liam had planned to propose to her, expressing his intentions in a note he wrote shortly before his tragic death.

This week, Kate revealed on Instagram the romantic message Liam had written during an evening spent envisioning their future together. Unfortunately, these dreams were tragically cut short, reports the Mirror.

Kate shared a touching message: "A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444'. Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel."

She added: "I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444."

In numerology, 444 represents guidance, support, and love from angels.

In his final social media post, he shared a moment with his 25-year-old partner at breakfast in Argentina, along with the words: "Lovely day in Argentina [love heart emoji]."

The video showed Kate, who spoke about their lazy mornings, laughing when Liam humorously disagreed with her self-deprecating comment.

Decision to leave

However, it was not long before Liam had to experience the beauty of Argentina by himself, as Kate opted to return to Florida. She expressed feeling homesick in a TikTok video right before the tragic incident.

She expressed her desire to return home, saying: "I was so ready to leave. Love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long and we were supposed to be there for five days, turned into two weeks and I was just like, 'I need to go home.'" Tragically, Liam chose to remain at the hotel, and approximately 48 hours later, he was found deceased.

The pair seemed happy

'Hostage' situation

In what is being termed as a 'hostage' situation by Kate's friends, despite the seemingly perfect images from their Argentina getaway, one friend likened her extended stay to being held captive. Speaking to the New York Post, the friend revealed Kate's worries about Liam possibly going on a bender after she left, but she felt compelled to return due to other obligations.

"She can't leave, or else who knows what will happen? And if she leaves, what will he do? But she has other responsibilities, other things that she's supposed to be doing. So she finally had to make a decision."

Detailing the dilemma further, the source said, "They're in Argentina and it's like a hostage situation. So she tells him she wants to leave, this is after a week. He begs her to stay. She keeps extending her trip, a day, two days. And he just wants her to stay, stay, stay."

"I get what people are saying, that she should just stay with her rich, famous boyfriend, but she wanted to be home in her own bed with her dog. She wanted to come home. So eventually she says she's going home."

Just hours before his tragic fall from a balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel, the singer's choice to contact two women through an Argentine website has sparked conversations concerning the personal battles he was grappling with shortly before his untimely passing. The platform Gemidos is well-regarded in Argentina as a service where numerous women nationwide offer social encounters, showcasing photos and thorough descriptions.

It's been reported that the allegations caused Liam's partner Kate Cassidy to feel "betrayed" and deeply "hurt" following police inquiries with the two escorts who claim they spent time with the music artist before his death. According to the Daily Mail, the pair, confirming their work as sex workers, asserted they were engaged for a client at the CasaSur hotel by means of an internet service.

During questioning, they shared they "drank alcohol" with Liam but rejected any suggestions of drug use alongside him.

An insider revealed to Clarin, an Argentine news source: "The witnesses were co-operative, not only in their statements but also in offering access to their phones."

The escorts alleged their arrival at the hotel in Argentina was at 11.30am and their departure was not until approximately 4pm, explaining the prolonged visit with the issue of unpaid services. Furthermore, it is of grave concern that Liam's death was recorded officially at 5.07pm – just a short span beyond an hour after they left.

'Betrayal'

Meanwhile, what appears to be a close acquaintance of Kate shared her reactions with The New York Post, expressing: "She just has heard about the prostitutes. She knew nothing about that. She just said she has to wrap her mind around it."

The source remarked: "That's obviously a huge betrayal to her, and that hurts a lot. She hasn't stopped crying. She's devastated. She's got a good support system around her, but this just went from bad to worse. She's not OK."

They continued: "She has a few people around her, including family members. She's not alone. She's responsive to me and our other friends. We'll all help her however we can."

Newly adopted dog

In the weeks leading up to his death, Liam and Kate had decided to jointly foster a dog from an animal shelter. A month prior to Liam's tragic accident, the couple were thrilled to bring Nala home, a darling dog they aimed to offer 'a second chance'.

Updating his followers at that time, Liam shared: "I really love her. She is so cute. She is a tiny new member of the family for a while. We're going to foster her for a while and get her really nice for a loving family I think. But we might be the nice family."

Kate revealed: "We did a meet and greet with three different dogs and this one fit us best. She's so sweet. She's only four months old. She was abandoned by her previous owners and dumped at the shelter. We wanted to give her a second chance and a better life."

The couple loved dogs

Additionally, Liam was already a pet parent to another dog named Stan, whom he welcomed into his life back in February. An ardent animal lover, Liam took to Facebook to announce: "Welcome to the family, Stanley! Our hearts are bigger with you in it."

This week, pictures surfaced of a devastated Kate spotted buying dog food, in one of the first public appearances since the tragic loss of Liam.
