Stalker 2’s limited edition bundles get another run to meet “constant interest”
GSC Game World says physical editions of Stalker 2 have been so popular that it's doing another round of them, right before launch.
by Will Nelson · PCGamesNStalker expertly brings you into the Zone. Filled with horrific nature-defying anomalies, mercenaries, and dangerous mutants, every breath you take in the excluded area of Choronobyl could be your last. People explore the Zone for its phenomena, but not everyone makes it out alive. That’s because they aren’t prepared for what lies in wait, but ahead of Stalker 2‘s imminent launch, at least you can be. Developer GSC Game World says the physical editions of the game have been so popular that it’s doing another run. So if you fancy a Stalker backpack, map, and any other equipment you might need for the Zone, now’s your chance.
With the Stalker 2 release date right around the corner, the survival FPS game is almost upon us. After multiple delays continually moved the shooter further away, GSC Game World hit us with one final pushback. The team said this was to fix the last round of bugs before launch, and now the day is almost here.
Those delays haven’t brought down player interest, either, as GSC Game World says the demand for physical editions of the game never waned. So many of us have wanted physical copies of Stalker 2, in fact, that there are about to be even more available ahead of launch.
“Throughout the whole development of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, there was constant interest towards physical editions of the game. As we’re nearing the launch, we wanted to clarify the status of how it’s going to be delivered to you or how you can still order it if you haven’t already done so,” GSC Game World writes.
“Bottom line: the initial amount of physical editions is mostly sold out, but in order to fulfill the demand, we’re doing another run.”
You’ve got a lot of choices, too. There’s the Standard Edition, Limited Edition, Collector’s Edtion, and staggeringly huge Ultimate Edtion. If you go for the Ultimate, you’ll get a figurine, map of the zone, artifact container lamp, art book, official backpack, and everything else from the smaller editions of the game.
If you fancy a physical edition of Stalker 2, simply head to this link and decide which version of the game works best for you. GSC Game World adds that upon purchasing a physical edition of Stalker 2 from this new round of pre-orders you’ll get a digital copy of the game at launch, alongside the physical version before the end of April 2025. If you’ve already bought a physical version of the game, don’t worry, that’ll be coming to you on launch day.
We even talked to GSC Game World about Stalker 2’s realism at Gamescom, and learned an awful lot about what you can expect come launch. “We are making each weapon have its own uniqueness and difference from other ones,” game director Evgeniy Grygorovych told us. “They should have their own different soul, but it shouldn’t be fully realistic. So we can make something more fun, like how the spray of the market M-10 works in our game.”
As we get closer to launch we’ve taken a look at the Stalker 2 system requirements and what they mean for your PC, alongside every confirmed Stalker 2 weapon.
