Leslie Fhima Addresses Rumor She’s Dating Golden Bachelorette’s Jordan
by Kaitlin Simpson · The Fresno BeeLeslie Fhima and Jordan Heller aren't currently dating but they do keep in touch.
"I'm not dating Jordan," the Golden Bachelor alum, 65, clarified to Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti about her connection to Heller, 61, on the Friday, November 1, episode of their "Almost Famous" podcast. "I met Jordan."
When asked by the cohosts if she went on a date with the Golden Bachelorette contestant, Fhima shared it wasn't a date but more like a "meet and greet."
"Jordan had a suite at the soccer game in L.A. last week," she explained. "His childhood friend is, like, the president of the club and he had a suite and he invited me."
Leslie Fhima Says Her Worth Isn't Based on 'Golden Bachelor' Decision
Fhima was in town at the time to attend a taping of Dancing With the Stars to support fellow Bachelor Nation stars Joey Graziadei and Jenn Tran. Since she was in town, she was able to attend the soccer game and brought along her friend Wendy.
Heller and Fhima raised eyebrows last month when they attended the Los Angeles Football Club game together. The pair posed for pictures together in matching LAFC jerseys, which featured their last names on the back.
After posting the pics online, rumors swirled that the duo might be an item. However, Fhima cleared the air letting Bachelor Nation know that they're just friends who chat every so often.
"We have been texting a little bit," she teased. "Just because we're older doesn't mean we're stupid."
Since meeting up at the game, Fhima admitted that she and Heller have continued to communicate on the phone in a friendly manner.
"For me, I don't know where it would go if it's gonna go," she said. "I just think he's a great guy and to be friends with him first is fine with me."
Heller appeared on season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette. He was eliminated by Joan Vassos after hometown dates. While watching this season, Fhima admitted that Heller caught her eye.
"I like Jordan. When I was watching the show I liked him the best, for me," she said on Friday. "Let's say for me, I thought all the guys were great. If it was me, if I was the Golden Bachelorette and he was on that show … you know how you think."
Fhima acknowledged that what she finds great in a partner might not align with what Vassos or anyone else is looking for in a soulmate.
"That's the beauty of those men," she reflected. "I think they appeal to certain women, and I like that. Hopefully, there will be some connections."
Golden Bachelor's Leslie and Theresa Spend Weekend Together in Minnesota
What drew Fhima in was how much she and Heller have in common from their faith to being geographically close.
"Stuff like that is important," she said of having shared interests. "We're both Jewish. At the end of the day, that's important to me as well … it's not a hard stop… but if you meet someone and they are … that's just icing on the cake."
Viewers were introduced to Fhima last year during the first season of The Golden Bachelor. She and Gerry Turner called it quits after their fantasy suite date. Turner went on to propose to Theresa Nist. (Turner, 72, and Nist, 71, split in April, just three months after they got married on ABC's The Golden Wedding live TV special.)
