Sabrina Carpenter fans go crazy for new perfume that 'smells better than Tom Ford'

Sabrina Carpenter fans have the chance to get their hands on what is arguably her best perfume yet. If you've never tried this one, the latest in the collection is Sweet Tooth Cherry Baby, a fruity resinous take on the massively popular cherry scents we see this time of year.

It has Gil Clavien on the nose, who has worked on all three Sweet Tooth scents. It opens up with cherry, brown sugar, apple and plum before diving into a sweet heart of dark chocolate, vanilla orchid, peony and red poppy. Its base balances the sweetness with cashmere wood, amber, musk, patchouli and resin.

Sabrina Carpenter said: “I wanted my new fragrance to be unexpected but something upscale and sophisticated while still feeling playful and provocative. Cherry Baby is timeless and flirty which encourages letting the sultry, glamorous side of you show in the best way possible.”

Although it hasn't brought in any reviews yet on Superdrug, fragrance aficionados have taken to Fragrantica with their thoughts. One said: "Cherry Baby is thee scent to get out of the Sweet Tooth collection so far. It opens up smelling of cherry wine, still very sweet and candy-leaning. The dry down you can smell more of the florals and marshmallows. It reminds me of wild cherry picking and fruit wine."

A second penned: "By far my favourite cherry scent as most others are way too sour for me. This is a super sweet and fluffy cherry fragrance. It’s similar to other cherry fragrances (ie. Lost Cherry, Lovefest Burning Cherry, Cherry Ambition, etc) but much creamier and nowhere near as tart or boozy.

"The most similar perfume I’ve tried is Fine’ry Not Another Cherry, but even that is more of a boozy sour cherry than this. I thankfully don’t get any patchouli or florals, just cherry, brown sugar, and a bit of apple and amber. Has minimal sillage and lasts about three hours on me."

Cherry Baby is the third scent in the range

A third said: "If you’re on the fence, Please, Please, Please give it a shot. I don’t think it’s cheap-smelling. I purchased it for my mom who loved and mourned the death of Cherry Vanilla by Parfums de Vanille (see my old review). To me, it has more depth than TF’s Lost Cherry which in my opinion is overpriced/hyped. It’s fun. It’s warm. It’s not sexy but is alluring."

Not everyone is so thrilled, with some complaining that the cherry top note fades away leaving behind the original scent of the collection. One said: "I like this overall, but unfortunately the cherry note doesn’t last very long, and after that, you’re kind of just left with Sweet Tooth. Which I love, but I don’t need both."

As suggested this is a great and more budget-friendly option for fans of Lost Cherry, Lovefest Burning Cherry and Cherry Ambition. You can get Sweet Tooth Cherry Baby for £24.99 for the 30ml bottle or £39.99 for the 75ml bottle on Superdrug.
