BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans says 'seriously?' as they issue complaint

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have voiced their dissatisfaction after the song choices for Halloween week were unveiled ahead of Saturday night's live show.

The BBC programme's annual Halloween-themed show is set to air on Saturday, 26 October, with the stars delivering spooky performances on the dance floor. Each year, Halloween week is a standout event of Strictly, with some of the show's most memorable performances originating from this themed night.

It has been revealed that Montell and Johannes will be performing the Cha Cha to Love Potion No. 9 by The Clovers, while Punam and Gorka are set to deliver a Tango to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics.

Sam and Nikita will be dancing a Jive to Time Warp by The Rocky Horror Picture Cast, and Sarah and Vito will be showcasing an Argentine Tango to Ready or Not by Fugees.

In addition, Tasha and Aljaz are set to perform a Samba to I Like To Move It Move It by Reel 2 Real, while Chris and Dianne will be dancing a Samba to Stayin' Alive by The Bee Gees. Jamie and Michelle will be dancing an American Smooth to The Addams Family Theme by Vic Mizzy, and JB and Amy will be performing a Foxtrot to Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader, reports Birmingham Live.

Pete and Jowita are set to perform a Viennese Waltz to That's Life by Frank Sinatra, Shayne and Nancy will be dancing a Paso Doble to In The Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg, and Wynne and Katya will be performing a Salsa to Canned Heat by Jamiroquai.

While anticipation for stellar performances on Strictly remains high, some fans were less than excited about this years choice of songs for the celebrity and professional pairings; several numbers have become overly familiar, drawing criticism. Fans took to Reddit to air their grievances, lamenting on the repetitive use of certain tunes such as The Addams Family theme and Time Warp.

One user wrote: "I'm obsessed with the idea of a Paso to Hall of the Mountain King! Not exactly traditional, but I love classical music so it makes up for it. Not so enthusiastic about yet another smooth to the Addams Family or Jive to Time Warp. Seriously, again? ".

Another contributed: "Jamie and Michelle doing Addams Family, already drawing comparisons to Michelle and Gio's dance to the same song," while another fan commented: "At this time I feel like I've danced to the Addams Family theme on Strictly. It's a great tune, but yeeeesh."
