Strictly Come Dancing fans convinced star 'isn't enjoying' show after he's 'dragged around' the dance floor

Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has become the talk of fans, with some expressing worries that he no longer seems to take as much pleasure in participating in the show.

BBC's iconic dance competition made its return on Saturday (October 26), offering up another thrilling episode.

As the competition heats up for Halloween Week, the remaining celebrity contestants were all set to compete fiercely to hold onto their spots.

The Go Compare legend Wynne Evans grabbed the audience's eye when he and his pro dance partner Katya Jones delivered a Salsa performance aimed at wowing both the panel and viewers watching from their living rooms.

Following his energetic performance, the Welsh opera singer looked visibly tired as he slowly made his way towards presenter Tess Daly to await feedback from the judges.

It turned out to be quite the triumph, as even Craig Revel Horwood, often known for his strict critique, rewarded the commercial personality with seven points.

His fellow judges showed even more generosity, each awarding him eight points, all but ensuring Wynne would rank near the higher end of the leaderboard.

Nevertheless, viewers tuning in from home sensed that Wynne might not be feeling his usual self on the show, with one fan taking to social media platform X to say: "Wynne really doesn't seem to be enjoying the show as much as he did #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

Another added their impression: "I thought Wynne looked a bit like he was being dragged around a bit #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."

A third chimed in: "Anyone else think Wynne is faking a smile or is it just me?"

This week, the couples are going full throttle with their dance routines and attire during Halloween Week with performances that draw inspiration from iconic spooky classics such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Beetlejuice.

The judging panel embraced the Halloween spirit with Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke channelling the twins from The Shining, Motsi Mabuse transforming into Cruella de Vil and Shirley Ballas taking on the guise of Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus.

Amidst the eerie festivities, controversy seemingly brewed behind the scenes when Wynne found himself in hot water after making a ill-judged joke.

Sources disclosed that while getting ready for the show, he remarked that his double chin looked similar to female genitalia.

It's said the off-colour remark came just before the BBC contest's first broadcast with a source noting that it was "a bit of a vulgar dad joke."

While no formal complaints were filed, the jibe reportedly ruffled feathers among some team members.

The source stated: "Wynne clearly didn't mean any offence, but you have to be a little bit careful these days."

Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
