Amanda Holden nails 'cowboy' trend in elegant fringe skirt from the high street

We can always count on Amanda Holden to serve up some seriously stylish high street looks and one of her latest outfits merges cosy winter trends with cowboy chic - and we're here for it. Having just returned from America, the 53-year-old presenter and Britain's Got Talent judge took to Instagram to share her recent high street outfit in which she was presenting her Heart Breakfast radio show.

Balancing textures, Amanda looked amazing in a chocolate brown suede and fringe skirt and a cream woollen sleeveless top, both from Mint Velvet. While the fringe skirt costs £225, the woollen top is slightly cheaper at £79 and features a cosy turtle neck that Amanda confirms is 'not itchy', as some woollen tops can be.

With a ribbed trim at the sleeves and a relaxed fit, the top is elegant and an ideal layering piece for the colder months thanks to its composition, which is made up of a combination of wool, alpaca and polyamide.

As for the skirt, its side tie fastening makes it a dream to wear comfortably, loosening and tightening as the day goes on. With fringe decorating the hem and the opening fabric, its a beautiful nod to this year's cowboy trend, adding some sophistication to it.

Measuring at 86cm, the skirt travels just below the knees and, making it a real investment piece, it's made entirely of leather - so you know it's of impeccable quality and will last a long time.

Speaking about her outfit, Amanda Holden posted a video to her Instagram story and said: "I'm wearing this gorgeous, very soft jumper. It's not itchy - sometimes [woolly jumpers] can be itchy around the collar. It's from Mint Velvet. And so is this gorgeous fringey suede skirt.

"I've just come back from America so I'm feeling a little bit cowboyish. It's gorgeous. It's a really lovely comfortable skirt. I'm thinking you could wear it with a little t-shirt. It's nice and fitted."

Adding to this, she shared with fans how it fits "true to size", which is always good to know.

While there are no negative reviews for the skirt or top to be found - a testament to their quality - one thing to note is that the skirt can only be washed by 'specialist cleaning only', so it's important to take care when wearing it to ensure it remains in tact as you can't easily bang it in the washing machine. As for the cream sleeveless top, that can be cool hand washed.
