Strictly Come Dancing star JB Gill will train with professional Lauren Oakley as she steps in to cover for Amy Dowden, who collapsed backstage during Saturday's main show after becoming unwell.

Lauren will rehearse with JLS singer JB today, Monday, and it remains unknown when Amy will return to Strictly. An ambulance was called to Elstree Studios in Borehamwood on Saturday when she began feeling unwell, with Amy then being missing for Sunday's results.

Amy returned to the Strictly line-up this year, having missed the 2023 series after being diagnosed with breast cancer. A spokesman said on Sunday: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.

"She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care."
