Amy Dowden will not be present in the Strictly Come Dancing results show due to unforeseen circumstances, the BBC has confirmed. After performing with JB Gill on Saturday's show, Amy became ill backstage, leading to a 999 emergency call.

In relation to the incident, Amy's representative shared: "Amy was feeling unwell, so an ambulance was called as a precaution."

The representative continued to express Amy's gratitude to the Strictly team for their support and asked for her privacy regarding health issues to be respected.

The East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson announced: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.

"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient, an adult female, was taken to Barnet Hospital for further care," reports the Mirror.

However, just minutes into the results show, Tess Daly paused to confirm Amy would not be there.

"Before we get started, Amy is unable to be with us for tonight's show," Tess simply stated before revealing which celebrities were safe.

For Halloween week, dressed as Scarecrows, Amy and JB scored 32 points from the judges. During the feedback session, Motsi Mabuse praised JB: "I feel like you have gone from strength to strength, you have spent time on your fundamentals and sometimes they take time."

Motsi complimented their performance, emphasizing their strong partnership, clear guidance, and JB's leadership during the dance.

Shirley Ballas was full of praise for JB, commending him on mastering a "difficult move" and remarking: "That was simply amazing. Your ballroom frame was very impressive."

While Anton du Beke concurred with Shirley's sentiments, he pointed out: "You did lose shape if I am being brutal. This is your first ballroom dance since the first week, and everything that you have worked on is standing you in such good stead."

Last weekend, Amy and JB faced the possibility of elimination in the dance-off, but the judges ultimately saved them, leading to Paul Merson's departure from the show.

As the competition heats up, another celebrity duo will face elimination from the BBC contest this week.

The excitement continues as the remaining ten pairs prepare to hit the dance floor for the upcoming icons-themed week when Strictly Come Dancing makes its return next Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
