Strictly Come Dancing viewers found themselves at odds over Tess Daly's recent choice of attire. While some praised her fashion sense, others were less impressed by the presenter's black off-the-shoulder maxi dress, likening it to a bin liner.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer commented: "What is Tess wearing? Bin liner? Sorry. #strictly."

Another remarked: "Assuming it's bin day round Tess' tomorrow morning as she's come dressed in the bin-bag."

One more viewer jokingly thanked the host, writing: "Just remembered it's bin day tomorrow. Thanks Tess. #strictly."

However, not everyone shared this sentiment as some fans thought Tess looked stunning.

One admirer expressed their support online, writing "#Strictly Tess looks amazing!!"

Echoing this enthusiasm, another fan posted: "#Strictly Blimey Tess! That's quite a dress!"

Some viewers added a touch of humour to Tess' sartorial statement, writing: "Tess turning up the sexiness by wearing a bin bag for tonight's show??????"

In unrelated Strictly news, Amy Dowden, the BBC professional dancer, required medical assistance on Saturday night after her performance with JB Gill, reports the Express.

Sadly, Amy missed the Sunday results show due to her illness and being attended to backstage. Although an ambulance was called as a precautionary measure, Amy has reassured her fans, saying she now feels "much better."

JB Gill reflected on the incident with Claudia Winkleman, where he said: "Honestly, I'm beside myself and Amy of course is gonna be so happy that we're through to icons week. It's an amazing feeling."

Punam and Gorka were the latest couple to be sent home from Strictly Come Dancing as the TV medic faced off against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu in the dance off, with all of the judges choosing to save the former Coronation Street actor.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all confirmed they were voting for Shayne and Nancy's Paso Doble over Punam and Gorka's Tango, and head judge Shirley Ballas agreed she would have made the same decision.

Despite her exit, Punam remained positive, stating: "I am really proud of myself. You know I've taken on something that's so out of my comfort zone.

"The one thing that I've very much learnt is to say yes more, and that there is no point in your life when you can stop learning new skills."

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday 2nd November at 6:30pm on BBC One with the results show on Sunday 3rd November at 7:20pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
