This morning, viewers weren't impressed with Cat Deeley's humour as she kicked off the ITV show with her colleague Ben Shephard.

On Monday's episode (October 21), the television presenter revealed to her Tipping Point co-host that she had suffered an injury following a long bike ride over the weekend.

Ben queried: "Did you have a nice weekend Cat Deeley?" To which she responded: "I did but my bottom's a bit sore though," and quickly clarified: "I was bike riding at the weekend."

Her unexpected revelation caught everyone off guard, leaving Ben and celebrity chef Phil Vickery momentarily lost for words. The TV chef was seen placing his hand on his head, seemingly overwhelmed by the overshare, as he chuckled.

The awkward moment wasn't just felt in the studio; numerous viewers also voiced their discomfort on platform X - previously known as Twitter. One individual wrote: "Could do without hearing about Cat's sore a**e for f**k sake #ThisMorning," reports the Mirror.

Another viewer implored: "Get on with the show #ThisMorning," while a third echoed the sentiment, stating: "Had enough of this s*** already."

Following Cat's remarks, host Ben also shared his own woes, mentioning that he too had sustained an injury during a Tough Mudder event that same weekend.

Tough Mudder, the gruelling endurance event featuring a 10-to-12-mile obstacle course, was co-created by Will Dean and Guy Livingstone. The course is designed to challenge participants with obstacles that tap into common fears such as fire, water, electricity, and heights, making it a 'true' test for those who dare.

The ITV presenter proudly displayed his muscular arm, bruised from the arduous Tough Mudder challenge, at the behest of his colleague Cat, who playfully told viewers "you're welcome". Despite the evident bruises, Ben light-heartedly brushed off the discomfort, telling his audience that he was soaked "in mud" during the taxing event.

In a later segment, Ben brought up the eerie "spooky mirror" featured on the show the previous week, which supposedly curses those who look into it with injury. He speculated whether his Tough Mudder bruises were a result of the mirror's curse.

However, Cat quickly dismissed the notion, reminding him: "No, you do these things for fun, it's not the mirror."

This Morning is on ITV1 weekdays at 10am and on ITVX
