Saban Films Snaps Up Danny A. Abeckaser’s Crime Drama ‘The Perfect Gamble’ Starring David Arquette (EXCLUSIVE)

Saban Films has acquired Danny A. Abeckaser‘s crime drama “The Perfect Gamble,” which stars David Arquette and Daniella Pick Tarantino.

The feature, which has completed production, is set to debut in theatres in the first quarter of 2025 followed by a digital release.

“The Perfect Gamble” tells the story of two best friends who get out of jail in New York City and relocate to the Easter European country of Georgia where they open an illegal underground casino. Only then do they realize the town is run by the Russian mob, meaning the duo need to figure out a way to keep their hustle going while staying alive. Pick Tarantino plays the girlfriend of one of the friends.

Abeckaser directed the film, which was shot on location in Georgia and Israel.

He has previously collaborated with Arquette on “BlackJack: The Jackie Ryan Story” and “Mob Town.” The latter was also distributed by Saban.

“I could not be more happy than to partner once again with Jonathan Saba and Saban Films on ‘The Perfect Gamble,’” said Abeckaser. “Their passion for this film was obvious and as a director and filmmaker, it is most important to have a partner who believes in the project as much as you do. I am extremely excited to release this film, first in theatres in early 2025, via Saban Films.”

“The Perfect Gamble” was producer by Abeckaser, Rinati Rokach and Yoav Gross via Abeckaser’s 2B Films and Yoav Gross Productions. Eli S. Weiss, Amnon Shalhov, Emil A. Fish, Moshe Ziv, Galit Rosenstein and Maya Sharabani exec producer. Director of photography was Barry Markowitz.

The deal with Saban Films was negotiated by Paul Davidson from the production side and Jonathan Saba of Saban Films.
