This news ^^ comes amid King Charles and Queen Camilla’s forthcoming trip to Australia and Samoa next month, where they’ll be covering a buncha terrain and spanning a whopping 12 time zones. Many have seen the long tour as a sign that the 75-year-old is continuing to recover well, with a source recently urging people that his health is “heading in a positive trajectory.”

A reminder that King Charles was diagnosed with cancer this past February and has been receiving ongoing treatment to manage the disease. Initially, the monarch took a leave of absence from royal duties to concentrate on his recovery—an approach Kate Middleton similarly took—but has since returned to a full working schedule.

When his diagnosis was first officially made public, Buckingham Palace issued a statement that read, “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer. His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

It continued, “The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible. His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”

Here’s hoping the king continues to be on the mend!
