Mary Berry looks ‘positively regal’ in high street blouse perfect for Christmas parties

Mary Berry is the undisputed queen of baking, and the 89-year-old looked ‘positively regal’ in a stunning red blouse this weekend. The iconic British food writer posed for a photoshoot wearing an elevated high street number - and it’s even on sale.

Styled by Tess Wright, the former Bake Off judge wore an Organdie Woven Pussybow Blouse from celebrity-loved retailer, Karen Millen. Originally £99, the blouse has been reduced in time for payday, with shoppers able to pick it up for £79.20.

Sharing a sneak peek at the shoot on her Instagram account, the celebrity stylist captioned her post: “Our incredible Dame Mary Berry, regal as always” with followers quick to agree. The snap was flooded with comments, with fans writing: “Fabulous choice for a fabulous lady,” “Positively regal,” and “Love love the red.”

The blouse offers a relaxed fit with playful balloon sleeves and a statement bow accent. It plays up to both the pop of red and bow trends we’ve seen dominate in 2024, bringing them together to create the ultimate festive party number.

Made from 44% linen, the fabric is ‘high quality’ and according to Karen Millen, ‘pairs well with anything’ including midi skirts, tailored trousers, or even jeans. For the festive party season, we also love the idea of teaming it with a metallic or sequin skirt.

For the Daily Mail photoshoot, Mary wore hers with a long red skirt from Coast for a monochrome look, giving the illusion of a dress when sitting. She added some metallic pointed court heels from Sole Bliss to complete the look.
