Sean 'Diddy' Combs’s modest birthday meal revealed as he turns 55 in ‘hell-hole’ jail

Sean 'P Diddy' Combs celebrated his latest birthday behind bars - and his meal options were considerably less glamorous than his usual options.

The music mogul turned 55 on Monday but he won't be able to celebrate in style as he is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. He was arrested in September for a number of crimes including sex trafficking and racketeering and has been denied bail - with his trial not expected to begin until May 2025.

The musician has plead not guilty to the crimes he is accused of but has been forced to remain behind bars while awaiting his trial due to the denial of bail. While he would usually surround himself with A List stars and knock back bottles of the most expensive champagnes imaginable, the Scorpio has been forced to celebrate his latest birthday surrounded by inmates and with simple food options on the menu.

Italian foods and simple vegetables were on offer, according to a report. And a lawyer for the music star has previously hit out about the level of catering on offer to him while he is on the inside.

The New York Post reported on Monday that Combs's lunch options were "cheese pizza, Italian pasta salad and green beans." Later, the star could expect to find a dinner option consisting of "chicken or tofu fried rice with black beans and carrots." Lunch is served at the facility at 11am, and dinner is served at 4pm. The Mirror has contacted a representative of the Bureau of Prisons for comment.

Combs's lawyer previously revealed that the singer has found the food options the hardest part of being locked up. Attorney Marc Agnifilo stated that “the food’s probably the roughest part” of Combs's current situation in a statement last month.

Combs has faced a huge number of allegations since his September arrest - and has since faced having past awards revoked in light of his legal issues. Shortly before the Bad Boy star's arrest, Combs reportedly returned the Key to New York following a request from Mayor Eric Adams after Combs' shocking assault on ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, became public. And now, Miami has followed suit, marking the latest fall from grace for the star.

The It's All About The Benjamins rapper was honoured with the ceremonial key in 2015 for his contributions to the music industry and his role in organising the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach, Florida. TMZ reported last week that the Tell Me star has been stripped of the honour after Miami Beach mayor, Steven Meiner, and the city commission voted unanimously on the decision at an in-person hearing.

Combs has denied all allegations made against him, with a lawyer previously telling the Mirror: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
