Kate Middleton's poignant hope for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

Kate Middleton has always been a very hands on mum and keeps her three young children at the centre of everything she and Prince William do in their royal roles

Kate Middleton has been a hands on mother from the birth of her first child Prince George, right the way through to her youngest Prince Louis being a cheeky and adorable youngster at some huge royal events.

Where possible Kate Middleton has made sure to keep herself in the centre of her children’s lives and make sure they have as normal an upbringing as possible after being born into the royal family. It’s easy to understand from Kate’s parenting over the past decade that she wants to be involved in her children’s lives actively. Speaking to parenting blogger and I'm A Celeb star Giovanna Fletcher whilst appearing on her Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in 2020, Kate Middleton talks about her parenting approach. She spoke of her hopes to build memories of the outdoors with her children that they would remember for a long time to come.

Kate said: "That's what I would want them to remember, those moments with me as a mother, but also the family going to the beach, getting soaking wet, filling our boots full of water, those are what I would want them to remember." Kate’s hopes for her children are the same as many other mother's who want to see their children be happy and thrive. Rumours have also been swirling that whilst Prince George will have to inevitably follow in his father’s footsteps, Kate and William have a grand plan which would mean Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis would not be working royals.

Both the younger children would be encouraged to live their own lives, pursue lives outside of the fold of the royal family and institution. Such a change could also allow for more flexibility in family life, potentially enabling Prince Louis to travel with his siblings and their mother, the Princess of Wales, without the pressure of future royal responsibilities. This would give Louis and Charlotte more freedom to explore their personal ambitions while still being part of the royal family. One thing is for sure and that is that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have a very strong mother who has dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her own children and making sure they have memories to cherish as they grow into their own.
