Beauty fans racing to bag Liberty advent calendar that's expected to sell out in days

Liberty's Beauty Advent Calendar for 2024 is on sale now and has been hugely popular with shoppers - but you'll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on one

Liberty's luxury beauty advent calendar, which offers nearly £950 savings on premium makeup, skincare and fragrance, has been touted as one of the top high-end Christmas countdowns for 2024. However, you'll need to act fast if you want to secure one, as the department store's extravagant collection is predicted to sell out within days.

Retailing at £260, the calendar boasts a staggering value of £1,205, offering a saving of £945 on the 28 included products - 18 of which are full-sized. The calendar has given stiff competition to the likes of Cult Beauty, Harrods, Space NK and John Lewis, all of which have sold out online, with Liberty anticipated to be the next to exhaust their stock.

Inside the calendar, beauty enthusiasts will discover a range of big-name and luxury brands from Liberty's beauty collection, including makeup from La Mer and Lisa Eldridge, Augustinus Bader skincare, Granado home fragrance, and Ex Nihilo perfume among many others. As an added bonus, a golden ticket is hidden inside a select few advent calendars, granting each lucky winner £1000 to spend at Liberty.

I recently unboxed the calendar , which is made up of brands I could have only ever dreamed of purchasing. One product - La Mer’s Lip Volumiser, worth £72 - left quite literally speechless and I’m still actually a bit scared to open and use it - though I’m sure that will soon pass.

The calendar covers all major beauty categories including skincare, makeup, hair care, home fragrance, perfume and wellness. If you apply some creative ‘girl math’, each item works out at around £9.28, which is exciting considering luxury items like Sunday Riley’s Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment, worth £70 are featured.

And I’m not the only one impressed, with the calendar racking up a 4.8 star rating on the Liberty website. One said: “I received my calendar and I'm very excited about it! every single product is a fantastic choice, I highly recommend.”

Another added: “This is one of top three beauty calendars this year, much better than last years, I can not recommend it enough, I actually bought two!”

However, one was disappointed that there was ‘not enough variation’, commenting: “I personally found that there were too many perfumes, two candles (a Christmas scented candle would have been a nice touch), a conditioning mask that I am keen to try but then also a tube of Elasticizer conditioner which always seems to make its way into calendars! It would have been nice to have a soap or shower gel rather than a second conditioner. I think that previous calendars have looked better and I am a bit disappointed.”
