Emmerdale confirms identity of Tina Dingle's secret son - and it's a familiar face

Emmerdale dropped a DNA bombshell on Monday night as Tina Dingle appeared to confirm she had a secret son who was already in the village on the ITV soap

There was a shocking DNA twist on Emmerdale on Monday, as Tina Dingle appeared to confirm the identity of her secret son.

The character made her shock comeback last week for her father Zak Dingle's funeral. It soon emerged she was up to no good and trying to get the house off her family.

Samantha Power has taken on the role, with original actress Jacqueline Pirie not returning to the role after her last onscreen appearance in 1996. Last week we saw her clash with her family after decades away, estranged from them all - except for Mandy Dingle.

It soon became clear they'd stayed in touch and on Monday night, it was revealed they were keeping a secret. Mandy was horrified to see Tina back in the village after her abrupt exit last week.

She'd broken the conditions of her electronic tag and was led away by police officers, with it revealed she'd committed a crime. On Monday night she was back, and it seemed she was trying to claim the house once more.

But as she and Mandy came to blows over her sudden return, a DNA secret was seemingly confirmed. Tina claimed she was back for what belonged to her, including "her son".

She was heard commenting about Vinny Dingle and how he "liked her", which left Mandy nervous. She then dropped hints that she had lost time with Vinny before making the son comment.

Tina told Mandy who was crying: "I've come for everything that is mine. Vinny is such a sweet boy, it makes me sad thinking about everything I have missed out on."

Mandy screamed at her reminding her it's her own fault this happened. But as Tina charged at her, she made it clear she wanted Zak's house and more - before revealing she had a son.

She bellowed: "It doesn’t matter. What’s mine is mine. My house, my son." Mandy, Vinny's adoptive mother and the person who raised him, was left in tears over this comment with it clear she feared the truth coming out.

All things point towards Tina being Vinny's biological mother, but is Tina lying and what happened? Does this mean Tina was with Mandy's ex and Vinny's father Paul Ashdale, or is someone else Vinny's true dad if Tina is his mum like she's suggested?

Viewers will have to wait and see if the truth comes out and how Vinny will react to the lie!
