Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley, who have been warming the hearts of viewers since 2015, are proud parents to two adult children, Simon and Gemma, who prefer life away from the limelight. Despite not appearing on the hit Channel 4 show, their folks often give fans a glimpse into their lives by posting photos on social media. The couple, celebrating over 45 years of marriage, recently cheered on their son Simon at the Caerphilly 10km, sharing an endearing photo with the caption: "Simon, our son, completed the #Cardiff10k. Well done, son. By the way, he's the one on the left. We are not that old. Well done to his mate # Gogglebox."

Fans were quick to congratulate Simon in the comments, with one saying: "Well done mate. A huge achievement." While another expressed: "Wow. Proud parents. I know how ye feel. Well done." Another fan recounted a humorous encounter: "Well done, I had a nice chat with him in McDonald's before the race... I least I think it was him...lol," reports OK! In April, they also posted a video of Simon conquering the Newport Marathon, proudly captioning it on X, formerly Twitter: "He did it 3hrs 46 mins so proud, well-done son so proud xxx."

Daughter Gemma had her moment on Dave's Instagram page a couple of months back, where she was captured glammed up with a pal, both sporting colourful fascinators that wouldn't be out of place at a wedding or a day at the races. Last year, Dave and Shirley gave us a glimpse into their family life, sharing a sweet photo from a festive get-together featuring Gemma, her hubby Alex, and their little one Elliot.

Adding to the seasonal cheer, Dave spread some joy on his Instagram with two shots from a lovely family meal, accompanied by heartwarming words: "Merry Christmas to one and all, from the Griffiths family, love Dave and Shirley xxx."

While most of their social media is cozy selfies from home, Dave did surprise followers with pics from a solo jaunt abroad earlier this year. His getaway to Dubai in June sparked curiosity among fans as to Shirley's whereabouts, especially when he posed beside an Incredible Hulk figure with a chum commenting, "Have a brilliant time; tell Shirl I am asking for her."

Dave clarified his travel partner situation, responding, "All right lovely, I'm not with Shirley I'm with my boy, long story, but I'll give her your love when I get back. Hope you and Georgia are good will keep in touch xx."
