Rylan Clark has already picked his winner for this year's series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The former X Factor contestant is backing one of the defunct ITV show's judges to be crowned Queen of the Jungle later this year - Tulisa Contostavlos.

N-Dubz singer Tulisa was unveiled as part of the star-studded 2024 line-up on Monday and the 36-year-old singer that she wants to be her "true, authentic self" as she discussed her upcoming stint camping under the stars in Australia

Tulisa, who mentored Little Mix when they won The X Factor in 2011, said that if she was popular with the show’s audience it would "mean I’m doing something right in life". In a post on Instagram, Tulisa shared a snap of herself in her camp uniform and told her fans: "The news is out! I’m off to the jungle. Wish me luck @itvxofficial @imacelebrity #ImACeleb."

Rylan, who auditioned for the X Factor in 2012 - the year Tulisa departed as a judge - was quick to show his support for the new I'm a Celebrity star. The BBC Radio 2 presenter shared Tulisa's original post with his 2.3million followers and added: "Good luck xxx."

Tulisa, who also had a solo UK number one single with Young, will be joined by the likes of former boxer Barry McGuigan, podcaster GK Barry and McFly star Danny Jones when the show returns on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday. Speaking about her reasons for appearing on I’m A Celebrity, she said: "My number one mission is to be my true, authentic self.

"If me being my authentic self connects with people in a mass way, then it must mean I’m doing something right in life. But I am not going to go looking for it. This isn’t a career move for me either. I will always go back to N-Dubz and this is a one-off experience.”

The London-born singer compared her upcoming experience on the show to Lord Of The Rings. She added: "I am like Frodo Baggins on an unexpected journey. I feel really adventurous this year and the place I am now in, I want to do things that take me out of my comfort zone. I have always said I wouldn’t do this show in the past, as there are things that have terrified me. But the person I am now, I want to throw caution to the wind."

Coleen Rooney, the wife of footballer Wayne and TV personality who made headlines in 2019 for claiming fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy had been leaking stories based on her private Instagram account to The Sun newspaper, says that she hopes her time on I’m A Celebrity… will give people "a better idea of what kind of person I am".

"It has been year after year I have been asked to go on a programme and it’s always been a straight no," Coleen, 38, said as she outlined her reasons for going into the jungle. "Over the years, there have been different things going on in my life, and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time."

"I also feel it’s time to have a challenge for me, and do something different. It has taken many, many years but I’m finally doing it! I have always said if I was going to do one, then it would be this show. I think it will be good for me. I am really looking forward to I’m A Celebrity now. I hope I can make my family proud – no pressure!"
