Emmerdale star teases sinister Jade's next move in Billy Fletcher storyline
Billy's mysterious boxing promoter Jade has sparked concern for the Emmerdale hunk since her arrival in the village. And according to Jay Kontzle, her revenge could be sealed.
by Laura Carreno · The MirrorEmmerdale actor Jay Kontzle has teased Jade's revenge after Billy took a stand against his shady boxing promoter.
Former Hollyoaks actress Twinnie Lee-Moore joined the Emmerdale line-up as the mysterious character, who was introduced to ITV viewers as part of Billy Fletcher's boxing storyline. In recent weeks, the hunk has secretly been taking part in unlicensed matches but after realising his new hobby could leave him in serious physical trouble, he decided to hang up his boxing gloves.
Unfortunately for him, Jade reminded him of the risks he would be facing if he was to give up on boxing and, in more recent scenes, Billy was made to fight with Ross Barton, who returned to the Dales after six years of absence.
After wining the fight, against all odds and thanks to Moses Dingle, Billy claimed his earnings but Jade let him know he was making a big mistake and it was clear to his pal Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) he was never meant to win the match against Ross.
Now Jay Kontzle, who has appeared in the Yorkshire-based drama since December, 2018, has teased upcoming trouble for Billy as well as his wife Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and their children, Lucas, Clemmie and baby Evan, as he discussed the "dodgy" and "scary" character.
"I think she's ambiguous", he first said. "I think the fact that Billy doesn't know too much about her and she's turning up with heavies every now and again... he knows he's kind of in over his head a little bit."
According to the soap star, Jade could find a way to force Billy to fight for her and what better way to blackmail him than with the safety of his family? "She does have something scary about her that Billy doesn't want to cross. He doesn't want that to fall back on to his family, if anything else", he explained.
"He's obviously got history in episodes that we've done before, with other characters that have kind of tested his family in the past. It could be a challenge for the family if he doesn't do what Jade's asking so he does fear for the family when he's around her." But is Jade really capable of anything sinister.
While Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) has shown Billy support in his latest fight, Jay, 34, has also highlighted Aaron's presence by Billy's side - but the pair of men are far from burying the hatchet: "I think he's concerned but I think at the same time, he knows there's still a bit friction between the two of them."
Jade was previously linked to Caleb and Ruby Miligan, as multiple soap viewers believed she could be the couple's daughter. However, in upcoming scenes, actress Georgia Jay will take on the new role as Stephanie knocks on Caleb and Ruby's door with her maternal grandfather Anthony, portrayed by Nicholas Day. And their arrivals will send shockwaves throughout the eponymous village.
