Dave Grohl's daughter has spoken out following his love child bombshell.

Just last month, Dave, 55, took to social media to reveal he had cheated on his wife and had fathered a secret child following an affair. He later stated that he was hoping to regain the trust of Jordyn Blum in the wake of the bombshell news. While Dave's family have remained quiet about his new child, his daughter Violet has since spoken out for the first time.

Violet, 18, has now shared her first post on social media since originally deactivating her Instagram page hours after Dave confirmed the news of his fourth child. Violet, who boasts a whopping 225,000 followers on the photo sharing site shared five images with her fans, including one of herself.

In the selfie, she wore a black bra, two necklaces and opted for a striking red lipstick, while her raven hair was swept back with bangs flowing down her face. Her followers were quick to gush over her, with one penning: "You can pull off every hair colour, but there is just something about black."

"You look sooo beautiful!!!," said another. Meanwhile, a third commented: "You are so beautiful I absolutely adore you." "How beautiful does this girl look," typed another. It comes after it was reported that Dave went public with his affair in a last minute attempt to save his marriage to Jordyn, who he has been married to since 2003.

According to new reports, he revealed the shock news as a 'last-ditch effort' to work things out with his wife after she 'offered him an ultimatum'. An insider recently claimed that the former Nirvana drummer believes his marriage 'is salvageable' so he is now trying to 'divert his focus' and 'be there for Jordyn on the day-to-day things she wants.'

Jordyn is said to have given him an 'ultimatum to figure it out', with Dave wanting to do anything in his power to 'regain her trust'. A source said to MailOnline: "He has to focus on her, that will be his best chance at getting back to what they had. Dave is focusing on her needs. Revealing [his affair and baby] in the first place was his last-ditch effort to save the marriage because Jordyn knew about it well before the world found out."

The Foo Fighters were forced to go on hiatus as Dave focused on saving his marriage. The band ended up pulling out of the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with just three days' notice last month. Taking to Instagram to confirm his new child, Dave said: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

He added: "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together. Dave." He also switched off the comments on the post, meaning fans could not directly react to his bombshell.
