Harry Styles ran out of Jamie Oliver's home after seeing something terrifying in his daughter's room
TV chef Jamie Oliver has claimed that he once met Harry Styles when he was trying to sell his house, and apparently the One Direction star was put off by something in one of his daughter's rooms
by Matt Davies · The MirrorHarry Styles had a hilarious exit from Jamie Oliver's £15million home after spotting something unexpected during his house tour. The celebrated One Direction star took off in a hurry when he encountered a life-sized cardboard cut-out of himself in the TV chef's daughter's room.
The Daily Mail reported that Oliver, who isn't exactly mates with Styles but has met him, shared the amusing incident: "I'm not mates with Harry Styles, but I have met him a couple of times. One time was when I had put my house up for sale and he came for an inspection.
"He didn't know that my daughter had a life-sized [cardboard] cut-out of him in her bedroom. He just sort of looked at it, turned around and said, "Argh! and left the house very quickly."
Oliver revealed that much to his amusement, Styles didn't snap up the property in the end, replying simply: "No he didn't," reports the Express.
The article also touched on the eventual buyer of the plush property, which went to the estate of Paul Raymond, as well as addressing recent headlines featuring Oliver's new book, 'Billy and the Epic Escape,' and its controversy over stereotype claims.
The chef has issued an apology to First Nations Australians as his children's book faced backlash for "stereotyping and trivialising" their culture, with Jamie reported by The Guardian to be "devastated" by the criticism. In a separate heart-wrenching update last month, Styles expressed his sorrow on Instagram over the loss of former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically died in October after a fall from a hotel balcony.
"I am truly devastated by Liam's passing," he shared. "His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it."
The boy band One Direction became a global sensation in 2010 when X-Factor's Simon Cowell brought together Payne, Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan to form the iconic group.
It comes after Jamie Oliver's wife Jools admitted to snooping on her famous husband to check he was still being faithful, telling The Telegraph: "I'll check his email. I'll check his Twitter. I'll check his phone. Everything seems fine. He says I'm a jealous girl, but I think I'm fairly laid back, considering."
Her jealousy stemmed from Jamie's early years as a celebrity chef, when young women would treat him like a popstar. Jamie previously told The Telegraph: "It wasn't just young girls, it was medium and young girls and it was classic slightly rock star-esque: random knickers and bras getting thrown at you."
In 2018, Jamie revealed that Jools had suspected he'd been unfaithful due to suspicious stains on his knees. He told Closer magazine: "My missus accused me of having an affair once, because I kept disappearing and coming back with green on my knees. It was courgette season and I was in the vegetable patch!"
But, the couple were able to overcome their 'rut' and now share five children together - Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, Buddy Bear Maurice, and River Rocket Blue Dallas.
