Emmerdale Ruby and Caleb's daughter Stephanie identity confirmed in bombshell announcement

Two new characters will soon rock up Emmerdale as viewers have been keen to know more about Ruby and Caleb's daughter. But what sort of trouble will be brewing in the Dales?

Stephanie Miligan is the latest mystery to have pushed viewers at the edge of their seats as Caleb and Ruby are set to be reunited with their daughter.

The couple, respectively played by Will Ash and Beth Cordingly, have mentioned their daughter's name in recent Emmerdale scenes but with bosses lining up plenty of drama for the rest of the year, it's no surprise that Stephanie will soon wind up on their doorstep - and she won't be alone.

In upcoming scenes of the ITV soap, actress Georgia Jay will take on the new role as Stephanie knocks on Caleb and Ruby's door with her maternal grandfather Anthony, portrayed by Nicholas Day. And their arrivals will send shockwaves throughout the eponymous village.

Smart and confident, it will become clear that Stephanie has inherited both of her parents' worst and best traits as her recklessness and narcissistic need to win at all costs may ruffle a few feathers in the Dales. But how will her reunion with her parents play out, particularly after ten years of estrangement? How will she react to her brother Nicky's departure from the village?

While this remains to be seen, Ruby's charismatic father Anthony will surely make an impression. But while he has settled into old age, Ruby finds the unwelcome reunion difficult, particularly after not seeing her father for over 30 years and her mother's death. What will Anthony do and can he mend his relationship with Ruby?

Speaking about the two new arrivals, who will appear on our screens later this month, producer Sophie Roper said: "We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family."

"With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales."

Georgia Jay, on the other hand, added: "I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory." What trouble could she cause?

While waiting for Stephanie to make her arrival in the Yorkshire-based drama, viewers have been speculating she could have already been discreetly introduced with actress Twinnie Lee-Moore aka Jade.

In recent scenes, the boxing promoter made Billy Fletcher's life difficult by notably forcing him to take part in an unlicensed bare-knuckle fight earlier on in the week, which led up to Ross Barton's explosive return to the Dales. But with Stephanie set to arrive, Jade could now cause more trouble for Billy with nobody to stop her in her tracks. What does she have planned?
