by Zara Woodcock · The MirrorThe second pairing for Dancing On Ice's upcoming series has been revealed.
It was first revealed that Love Island's Chris Taylor was paired with pro Vanessa Bauer - who was paired with Joey Essex last year. The upcoming series of the ITV show is set to launch in January next year and rehearsals are now underway, with the stars going through tough training to master skating on ice.
Chris's partner was the first to be announced. He shared the news with his followers on Instagram on Wednesday night. The post was also shared on Vanessa's page on the platform. Along with a number of photos of the pair on the ice rink together, Chris said: ""Bloody DELIGHTED to say me & Vanessa are skating together on @dancingonice 2025 …swipe to see how in sync we are(n't…yet. I'll accept 51% responsibility for that)."
He continued in the caption: "Quivering with excitement to start skating with V-force & learn some sort of grace/decorum (& possibly improve my still quaver like posture). Message to future Vanessa - I'm sorry. This will make sense in about a week (long/short - I'm quite annoying)."
And now, a source has claimed actress Chelsee Healey has been paired with none other than Andy Buchanan. The professional skater has been paired with the likes of WAG Rebekah Vardy, S Club singer Hannah Spearritt, paralympian Stef Reid and actress Zaraah Abrahams.
"Chelsee is over-the-moon after being paired up with Andy," the source told The Sun. They added that she's 'looking forward to getting stuck in' with the training. The Mirror have contacted ITV for comment. It comes after two professional skaters announced they were leaving the show.
It will be the final series for returning pros Mark Hanretty, 39, and Brendyn Hatfield, 38. They shared the news with fans of the long-running skating contest on their respective Instagram pages on Tuesday.
Alongside a photo of himself at ITV Studios, Mark - who has been on the show since 2011 - wrote: "I'm back! Hard to believe I'm embarking on my 12th series of [DOI]. I'm as excited as ever and so grateful for the chance to work on the greatest show on ice once again." He added in the caption of the post: "This will be my last year as a pro skater, and I'm eager to soak up every second of it. Good luck to all the team and here's to a fantastic series."
Whilst his co-star Brendyn - who joined the show in 2020 - shared the news of his departure in his own page. He wrote alongside a photo of himself: "Here we go! Excited to be back for my 6th and final season of [DOI]. Let's make this one the best one!"
