'Beautiful and flattering' velvet sequin dress perfect for Christmas parties now £36 at Debenhams

Debenhams has slashed the price of the glitzy dress that's available in two colours and has a flattering silhouette

The festive party season will be here before we know it, and if you're wanting to get your outfit sorted early, Debenhams has the perfect option. The retailer is currently offering 20% off a stunning sparkly dress from Dorothy Perkins that's sure to turn heads.

The Velvet Sequin Mini Dress usually retails for £45, but you can now add it to your wardrobe for £36. The glitzy frock is available in sizes eight to 18 and comes in two stunning colours - black and turquoise.

The long-sleeve dress has a flattering silhouette that accentuates your curves and is covered in tiny sequins that catch the light. The Dorothy Perkins Velvet Sequin Mini Dress has an attractive high neckline and small cut-out design at the top of the back. The frock would look gorgeous worn with bare legs or black opaque tights, paired with cute black heels and a matching clutch bag.

Out of the nine reviews left for the garment so far on the Debenhams website, seven of them award it five stars. One delighted shopper commented: "This dress has it all. Pretty back, flattering fit, and the sleeves are a great length. The turquoise colour has the wow factor."

A second wrote: "Perfect sparkly dress. Beautiful, flattering fit - love it. Perfect for parties." Another added: "Great dress, very flattering and comfortable."

Unfortunately some shoppers noted a couple of issues with the dress, however they still awarded it five stars. One person explained: "It's perfect for a Christmas night out, although it is quite short and sometimes the sequins would get caught on the material. Other than that I absolutely loved wearing this dress. I got so many compliments."

Someone else said: "Lovely dress, got so many comments. It's really Christmassy or great for a party. Sequins got caught a few times under arms, but it was ok."
