How to Die Alone has already won viewers’ hearts after debuting its first four episodes last Friday (September 13).

Created by Natasha Rothwell (The White Lotus, Insecure), the comedy series follows a 30-something JFK airport employee whose brush with death pushes her to start living boldly. Main character Melissa, navigates love, friendship, loneliness and her newfound joie de vivre.

Following the premiere, fans are raving about its relatability. One user on X, formerly Twitter, shared: "How to Die Alone is so authentic! Relatable! Funny! It’s truly BRILLIANT!"

As the Hulu series will air four more episodes in the next two weeks, here’s three slice-of-life shows to binge before the next drop.

Daddy Issues

Daddy Issues follows 24-year-old party girl Gemma, who unexpectedly falls pregnant after a one-night stand and turns to her recently divorced dad for support. The poignant dramedy sees the pair moving in together and tackling dating, dysfunctional family dynamics and the constant struggles of parenthood.

Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education) and David Morrissey (The Walking Dead) star as an unlikely father-daughter duo in this BBC Three series, which the BBC recently confirmed will return for a second season.

Such Brave Girls

Such Brave Girls follows the dysfunctional family life of single mother Deb and her daughters Josie and Billie. The sisters juggle the absence of their father while their mother tries to make ends meet.

The dark comedy takes a raw approach to themes including mental health issues, financial hardship and toxic romantic relationships. Writer and comedian Kat Sadler stars alongside her real-life sister Lizzie Davidson and actress Louise Brealey (Sherlock).

Queenie follows the life of a 25-year-old journalist after a shock breakup with her long-term boyfriend pushes her on a journey of self-discovery.

Based on the Candice Carty-Williams novel, the drama sees the Jamaican British woman facing up to childhood her traumas, the woes of dating and exploring her cultural belonging.

Actress Dionne Brown stars in the eight-episode Channel 4 series alongside a star-studded cast, including Tilly Keeper (Eastenders) and Joseph Marcell (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).

Queenie is available to stream on All 4.
