Lauren Okaley has sent all her support to Amy Dowden as she's headed to the training room with JB Gill for this Saturday's performance.

After delivering her best foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader alongside the JLS star, the Strictly Come Dancing star, 34, was absent from this Sunday's (October 27) results as it was revealed she'd collapsed backstage and the incident led her straight to hospital.

Doubts surrounding her participation to this upcoming Saturday's instalment of the BBC One show quickly emerged, and a spokesperson confirmed Amy Dowden would be missing out on the next stage of the competition to focus on her health. And her replacement had already been found as Lauren Oakley will be JB Gill's partner this week.

Taking to her Instagram story this Monday evening (October 28), Lauren Oakley shared a message of support to Amy Dowden, paired with the BBC's statement regarding her absence. "Sending you so much love & well wishes @amy_dowden", Lauren wrote, "hope you're back on the dancefloor as soon as possible!" She then added: "I will look after @jbgill for you this week, I hope we make you proud!"

Amy's decision to miss this week's show came after a Strictly Come Dancing spokeswoman said: "Amy Dowden MBE is doing much better and the Strictly family send her love and wish her well. She is delighted that fellow Professional Dancer, Lauren Oakley, is able to step in for rehearsals and to perform in Saturday’s show for JB Gill’s Couple’s Choice dance. We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week."

Amy missed Sunday’s results programme after “feeling unwell” and was taken to Barnet Hospital from the BBC One show’s production centre, Elstree Studios, as a “precaution”, her spokesman said. This Monday (October 28), Fleur East confirmed the news while hosting Strictly spin-off It Takes Two.

Meanwhile, JB took to Instagram to issue his own statement, thanking his and Amy's admirers for their consistent support: "On behalf of both @amy-dowden and I, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for voting for us and wishing us well. We absolutely loved our performance on Saturday night and are so grateful to be through to another week on @bbcstrictly Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support."
