The Traitors' Charlotte Chilton gives birth to Conor Maynard's baby he wanted 'nothing' to do with

The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has welcomed her first baby with singer Conor Maynard - who she briefly dated after meeting him at a nightclub

The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has given birth to her baby with Conor Maynard - who previously told her he wasn't ready to become a father.

In June, the Warwickshire-born recruitment management, 33, revealed that her Traitors co-star's sister's brother was the father of her unborn baby. The mum-to-be starred on the hit BBC show alongside winner Harry Clark, who is dating Anna Maynard - Conor's younger sister.

Musician Conor, who is known for his many Drake covers on YouTube, briefly dated Charlotte after meeting her at a club on the night of the final of The Traitors. She previously announced she was expecting her first child and that Conor was the father. However, he allegedly told her he was not ready to become a father.

In a new post shared on social media, Charlotte revealed she welcomed her baby. Charlotte captioned her post: "Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much,I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!! Thank you to all that have checked in to make sure I am ok!! My heart is full xx."

It comes after Charlotte said of her pregnancy and pending motherhood: "I’m doing this on my own. I don’t need him. I don’t need his money. I would only want him involved if he wanted to be." When Charlotte first informed the star, he appeared to be more responsive to the news until, she said, she started discussing the topic of co-parenting."

While speaking to Metro, she added: "The minute I started talking about co-parenting and being understanding of his work schedule, he obviously was a bit disappointed that I was doing that." She sent him pictures of the baby scans and messaged him "Feel free to respond whenever you're ready" as she was 'annoyed at that point'.

Charlotte added: "I’m prepared to do this alone, but I’m not prepared to have my daughter have to grow up and not be able to say who her father is, or should I say, birth father, or hide it from her. She deserves to know where she comes from. I’m not a secret, she’s not a dirty secret. I won’t be silenced. I am standing up for myself regardless of if it comes back to me. I just can’t do this be quiet, and shut up anymore."

In a recent interview on Loose Women, she was asked whether she would want Conor in her child's life. She said to Gloria Hunniford: "I'm always torn with what's best for her. For me and my mental health, and the damage that he's done to me, absolutely not. I absolutely wouldn't want that But, I'm an adult and I understand what I've entered into here and if that's how it has to be then I have to suck it up and put her first."
