Fresh Strictly Come Dancing crisis as star badly hurt in freak accident

One of the starts of Strictly Come Dancing has been injured - breaking a bone during a freak accident during rehearsal training and plunging the BBC show into fresh crisis

Strictly Come Dancing has been plunged into a fresh crisis - as yet another star has ended up inured.

Professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova - who was partnered with Olympic hunk Tom Dean for the 2024 season - broke her thumb during a rehearsal session. While the 35-year-old dance star has been knocked out of the main competition, she still takes part in dance routines alongside the other professionals.

During a rehearsal session for this weekend of Strictly Come Dancing shows, Nadiya fell on her hand and broke a bone in her thumb. The star was treated immediately on the set at the time of the incident - which is said to have taken place on Wednesday.

She reportedly underwent an X-Ray which confirmed a bone had been broken - and she was subsequently told to rest up. Now it has been said she will sit out some scenes this weekend, but has been cleared to film some routines for future shows.
