Emmerdale fans shocked by real-life age gap between Aaron Dingle and John Sugden actors
by Joe Crutchley · Manchester Evening NewsEmmerdale viewers have been left stunned after discovering the age difference between the actors who portray Aaron Dingle and John Sugden.
Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap, rose to fame following his debut in 2008. He quickly became a fan favourite.
Danny has also been at the centre of numerous major storylines in the renowned Dales - from affairs and his romance with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to shocking murder plots and stints in prison.
Currently, over in the soap, he's involved in an on-and-off relationship with Emmerdale newcomer John Sugden (Oliver Fainworth), who is coincidentally ex-Robert's half-brother.

John was introduced earlier this year as the alleged long-lost son of Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby). Since then, John has comfortably settled into the famous village, reports Leeds Live.
He has secured a job at Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) farm and acquainted himself with his new family members. John has also kindled a somewhat romantic relationship with Aaron.
However, fans of the ITV soap were recently taken aback upon learning about the real-life age gap between the actors who play John and Aaron.

One viewer commented: "Oliver, who plays John, is nine years older than Danny. He's 42 and Danny is 33." A second added: "Another added: "No way?!" while a third remarked: "I thought they were closer in age to be honest. Wouldn't have said there's nearly 10 difference between them though!"
Emmerdale's Producer, Laura Shaw, expressed excitement about a new addition to the cast earlier this year, saying: "We are thrilled to have an actor with Oliver's talent and presence join the Emmerdale family."

She continued, highlighting the significance of the Sugden family in the show: "The Sugden's have always been central to Emmerdale, and introducing a new member opens up exciting possibilities for future storylines. Mysterious John's arrival will no doubt create a stir in the village for Victoria and the wider community."
Oliver himself shared his enthusiasm about becoming part of the iconic soap: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that."
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
