BBC EastEnders fans 'obsessed' with new character as she drops explosive bombshell
by Angie Quinn · Manchester Evening NewsEastEnders fans have quickly taken a liking to new character Nicola Mitchell (played by Laura Doddington) following her debut in Walford on Monday.
In Tuesday's episode (November 12), available on iPlayer, the blonde newcomer was seen causing trouble for her estranged husband Teddy (Roland Manookian) and revealing a significant secret.
After her eldest son Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) was arrested, Nicola didn't hesitate to invite his love interest Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) for a tense discussion.
Nicola suggested that Penny and her police officer father Jack (Scott Maslen) were responsible for Harry's arrest for the murder of his former girlfriend Shireen.

She also made a derogatory remark about Teddy's fashion choices before providing Harry with a 'false' alibi for the night of the alleged crime, reports the Daily Star.
Although the detective didn't believe Nicola's account, the police had no choice but to release Harry. It later emerged that Nicola and Harry had a prearranged alibi in case he was ever arrested.
The Mitchell family soon found themselves at odds as Nicola's lies about being in Bali and 'finding herself' were exposed, while youngest son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) watched uncomfortably.
It turns out that beautician Nicola has actually been serving time for ABH after administering unlicensed lip filler to a girl. Teddy confirmed that the victim had been on a drip for three days and Nicola even declined to offer a refund.

Harry disclosed to Barney that Nicola had taken from Teddy, leading to her being thrown out of their previous residence.
