Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien flooded with messages after sharing disbelief in personal update

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has been flooded with messages after sharing her disbelief over her daughter's latest milestone. The actress was left asking 'where does the time go' as she decorated her home with banners and balloons for Scarlett's birthday.

But it wasn't just any birthday for the Waterloo Road youngster as it was her sweet 16th. Tina, who is famed for playing Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, shares the teen with her former Corrie star ex Ryan Thomas.

And they were both left overwhelmed on Saturday (October 26) as they marked their eldest child turning 16. Tina was overwhlemed at how quickly time had passed as she shared snaps from her daughter's birthday celebrations on her Instagram Story with a number of wrapped presents seen in a photo of the birthday set-up.

Tina, 41, then went on to share a reel to her main Instagram grid which featured pictures of Scarlett from a baby to now, plenty with her lookalike mum and younger brother Beau, who Tina shares with her husband Adam Crofts.

Alongside the post, the soap star gushed: "16 wonderful years of you. I love you ma little chicken @scarlettjthomas26." And it didn't take long for the birthday wishes to come flooding in.

Tina's Corrie co-star Julia Goulding said: "Happy Birthday Scarlett!!" Sally Carman-Duttine replied: "Happy Birthday Scarlett." @helenk1983 commented: "She’s soooo unbelievably beautiful! Happy sweet 16th."

@xx.tinaobrienfan.xx wrote: "Can't believe she's 16 already @tinaob83 happy birthday @scarlettjthomas26 hope you had a fantastic day." @sal._.18 posted: "16 already?! Oh my goodness x happy sweet 16th Scarlett." @charlottejadelouisejoyce echoed: "No way is she 16! Time flies, happy birthday Scarlett!"

Others, however, were divided over whether Scarlett was her mum's 'double' or a 'perfect' mix of her famous mum and dad. @lisadaryl138 said: "She really is a mini you.. and absolutely beautiful." @abbeycat2012 commented: "She looks just like you! Happy birthday!"

@deborahl79 replied: "She's your double. Happy birthday Scarlett." @glenmichele posted: "She is exactly the right mix of you and her daddy. Absolutely beautiful." @sarah.2023x added: "She is literally the combination of you and Ryan. Happy birthday."
