Coleen Rooney has said she will miss her 'phone, pen and notepad' as she revealed what husband Wayne thought about her joining ITV's I'm A Celeb.

The new host of celebrity campmates will be heading Down Under as the show's hosts and crew jet off to the jungle for the three-week series premiering on Sunday (November 17).

The line-up has officially been confirmed in full by ITV and includes former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, singer Tulisa, Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, WAG Coleen Rooney and McFly's Danny Jones.

In an interview with ITV ahead of the show's premiere, the WAG and TV personality said, aside from her family, she would miss her 'phone, pen and notepad' because she 'loves jotting things down'.

She revealed she had repeatedly been asked to join the ITV show over the years, and gave a glimpse into hubby Wayne's reaction when she announced the news she was jetting off to Australia.

“It has been year after year I have been asked to go on a programme and it’s always been a straight no,” she said. "“Over the years, there have been different things going on in my life and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time.

"I also feel it’s time to have a challenge for me and do something different. It has taken many, many years but I’m finally doing it.

"I am a really organised person and so to take myself away from that is going to be difficult. But I’ve got a very supportive family around me and I know everything is going to be fine."

Admitting not having any contact with her husband, Wayne, or her four boys will be the toughest aspect of taking part, she says they are, however, very proud she has taken the challenge on. “Wayne is supportive,” she said “He did say, ‘You know you are going to be on camera 24/7?’ but I said, ‘Yeah that’s the show. He is fine with it all.

"I haven’t spoken about it with my younger two boys as not many know, but my eldest son told me: ‘Yeah go for it’. My second one was a bit more emotional. He thought about me being away for a long length of time, but hopefully that will pass. My parents are happy too that I’m doing something for me.”

Missing from this year's line up so far is former Love Island star Maura Higgins and broadcaster Reverend Richard Coles. They are both expected to enter the jungle at a later date.
