Emmerdale's Moira Dingle to make huge decision about son Adam Barton

Emmerdale's Cain Dingle is faced with the harrowing possibility of losing his wife Moira, as she reveals her intention to leave the village for a visit to her son Adam Barton.

Fans of the ITV soap are well aware that Moira (Natalie Robb) is battling a brain tumour and missed her surgery after learning of Zak Dingle's (Steve Halliwell) passing. The farmer has been enduring severe symptoms such as seizures, confusion, and memory loss, which she initially hoped to control with medication before consenting to the high-risk operation.

Cain (Jeff Hordley) confronts his greatest fear of Moira's death and is taken aback when Moira and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) discuss their travel plans to see her son Adam (Adam Thomas). With Moira's absence looming, Cain struggles but finds solace in his wife's comfort.

The couple recognises that their farewell, meant to be brief, could potentially become a lasting separation. Questions linger on whether Moira will make it back to the village with her son Adam during her health battle.

Actor Adam Thomas portrayed Moira's son Adam on the show for nine years until his departure in 2018, reports Leeds Live.

In his final plotline, Adam attempted to protect his mother by falsely confessing to Emma Barton's (Gillian Kearney) murder. He subsequently fled on his sentencing day, abandoning his old life to become a fugitive.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Thomas expressed uncertainty about his character's fate since leaving six years prior.

"I can't remember where he went to. I think he went to France? He was on the run," he said, trying to jog his memory.

He said: "It was such a big part of my life and being able to work with some of my close friends who I'm still in touch with today, that was such a fun job."
