BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'are you joking' as announcement leaves them 'screaming'
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsStrictly Come Dancing fans have been left 'screaming' as they were given news of Jamie Borthwick's next routine. The EastEnders actor is currently impressing in the competition alongside professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.
The pair topped the leaderboard in weeks five and six and during the latest live show last Saturday night (November 2), Jamie was seen channelling George Michael during the BBC One dance contest's first-ever 'Icons Week'.
The new theme saw the remaining 10 celebrities and their professional dance partners take to the dance floor to perform a routine accompanied by a track from a well-known singer or band.

And Jamie and Michelle scored 31 points for their samba to George Michael’s Faith, with soap star Jamie channelling the late singer with a blonde hairdo and classic pair of Ray-Bans.
Following their performance, head judge Shirley Ballas, who was dressed as Cher for the evening, said the dance "hit all the technical elements but lacked connection, dance as a unit" and the comments clearly left Jamie pondering his place in the competition before he and Michelle were relieved to be saved following the public vote.
They have since headed back into rehearsals for week eight of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series and it's been revealed Jamie and Michelle will be performing an Argentine Tango to Do I Wanna Know? by Arctic Monkeys.
